This is a book written by Alexandria Searls.

This book was written by Alexandria Searls and contains exercises for practicing Mindful Photography. It offers a 21-day course that can help you develop a new perception of photography. I believe that doing these exercises will be a great experience. The book is called “21 Days of Mindful Photography: A Course in New Perceptions”.

21 Days of Mindful Photography: A course in New Perceptions

I purchased this book myself, as I wanted to challenge myself to a 21-day photo session. And I am photographing every day. Here is a collage of my everyday challenge.

I was a bit short on the challenge, but here is a collage of 12 days, each with a different picture taken during that period. When I look at these pictures, I feel grateful for the opportunity to live a meaningful and creative life. I appreciate the world around me, from my house and kitchen to my food and my town. I am especially grateful for the forest nearby with its rawdeer, and the opportunity to go skiing there.”

To show one picture for everyday in 12 days.

I think challenges can improve our gratitude towards life, family, and surroundings, making life more fulfilling.

To shift focus

In the book 21 Days of Mindful Photography: A course in New Perceptions, the author encourages readers to set a timer and take a photograph of whatever they are focusing on when the timer goes off. Afterwards, the reader is asked to reflect on what they may not have noticed before and ask themselves, “What could I focus on here that is beautiful?”

The author encourages you to capture a photo of anything beautiful, inspiring, or memorable, such as a person, animal, plant, landscape, artwork, etc.

I think this challenge is great and I plan to try it myself. Some days when I look out of my window, I can see the Rawdeer. It’s beautiful to see them in their natural habitat. Whenever I take a break from my computer and look outside, I am reminded of the beauty that surrounds us.
