Yesterday we went up to the Temple of Jupiter Anxur. It is a beautiful place. Here is what Wikipedia write about the place:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The temple was built between the mid-second and mid-first century BC and is dedicated to Jupiter<\/a>, who was the protector of Anxur.[2]<\/a><\/sup> It was located along the Via Appia<\/a> which passed through the city of Terracina and is situated atop Mount Sant\u2019Angelo. The site is erected on top of a terraced platform that uses opus incertum<\/a>. The largest temple is dedicated to Jupiter while a smaller temple dedicated to Venus Obsequens<\/a> (“Indulgent Venus”) sat next to it. After the Roman period, the sanctuary was destroyed.[3]<\/a><\/sup> The remains were known in the medieval times as \u201cTheodoric\u2019s palace,\u201d and in the early Middle Ages, a monastery dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel<\/a> occupied the smaller temple. The interior was transformed into a church, and 9th-century frescos<\/a> can still be found inside. The first excavations of the temple date to 1894 by Pio Capponi.[4]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get up there you can take a bus from the city, but we wanted to walk. And I absolutely recommend walking. Because it is a beautiful landscape and view all the way up to the top. And it\u2019s not much traffic. The surroundings is peaceful and now in May it\u2019s so many beautiful flowers everywhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, photography is a way of listening. A form of mindfulness. A practice of stillness and wonder. I\u2019m also a globetrotter at heart. I love traveling and discovering new places with my camera \u2013 from quiet corners of nature to vibrant city streets. My blog reflects this love for exploring, with stories and photographs gathered along the way. Each journey deepens my appreciation for light, texture, and the way places speak if we take the time to listen. I photograph with both DSLR and iPhone, always guided by what moves me rather than by gear or trends. I created this space to share moments that speak, not shout. Images that invite you to pause.
