Yesterday I walked nearly 17 km from Egrife Hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I walked through one of Romas’s big parks, called Villa Doria Pamphilj, and down to Trastevere. From Trastevere, I walked to Spagna. There I met my wife who should sing in San Carlo al Corso. So this concert was my goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I have to tell you about my walk. It started with much traffic. And in Rome, people drive fast. Either in small cars or at their Vespas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vespa is a popular means of getting around and they drive fast!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But after 30 minutes walk in traffic, I walked through the entrance to the park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was almost magical. In seconds the world went from noisy traffic to stillness. It was just the birds singing and some children laughing and having fun. The first I saw was a little lake with turtles. And some families resting around the lake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The atmosphere felt so calm. It was so good. I walked slowly through this beautiful landscape. It was as if I was walking in the forest at home. But the botanic and plants are a little bit different. But I also saw that some of the plants were the same. I took pictures of turtles in the dam, and flowers. It was so beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I felt a connection with nature, and I sat down on a bench and just looked around me, breathing in all the beauty. It was a meditative time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other people also had a meditative time in nature in this beautiful park. Here are a couple of photos of people walking in the park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it was much more to see when I reached Trastevere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two singers, play and sing for public. The songs were from when I were young. I was sitting there some minutes listening to the songs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

At last, and several hours after I started walking, I reached my goal; a wonderful concert with Oslo Oratoriekor. It was a great experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
